1. assess the impact of harmful and dangerous factors of production and the environment on human health and environmental risks to ensure production safety;
2. estimate the permissible values of emissions, discharges and contamination levels of the components of the environment, as well as the permissible values of the extraction of natural resources to meet production needs;
3. conduct interdisciplinary research to solve specific problems of environmental protection to achieve sustainable development goals;
4. rank and work with all participants in the chain: research - forecast - technological process - marketing - production - use - utilization for effective management of natural-economic systems;
5. develop programs for effective management of natural resources and stabilization of the environment;
6. predict the state of water resources in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia to ensure sustainable water use and consumption;
7. apply new technologies for purifying natural and industrial waters to improve the quality of life of the population;
8. work in a team, effectively applying time management for optimal implementation of research projects and business plans.
