Upon completion of this program, it is expected that masters will be able to:
1. diagnose problems of life safety and environmental protection, develop practical recommendations on life safety and environmental protection, and ensure safety and sustainable development using assessment and modeling methods, forecasting the development of various processes occurring in natural and man-made systems;
2. determine the probabilities (frequencies) of the implementation of hazardous situations by the methods of hazard analysis and risk assessment in the labor protection management system;
3. analyze and assess the degree of danger of human impact on humans and the environment according to various criteria, including environmental risks; predict the occurrence and development of negative impacts and evaluate their consequences;
4. to study the modern theory of assessment and provision of technical safety and risk reduction, reliability assessment in the “man-machine-environment” system using system analysis; make decisions on the protection of personnel and the public from the possible consequences of accidents, disasters, natural disasters; simulate dangerous processes in the technosphere and ensure the safety of the systems being created;
5. develop skills in the development of methodological and regulatory materials, technical documentation, work on risk management and modeling of occupational safety and health management systems, organization of compliance with established requirements, existing norms, rules and standards;
6. use modern software products in the field of modeling, forecasting, risk assessment and prevention, risk management; develop the necessary skills in the field of theoretical and practical use of information technologies in the field of security, regulatory and legal frameworks of information technologies in the field of environmental, industrial, industrial safety and security in emergency situations;
7. design and calculate security systems and devices, means to improve the safety of objects; to evaluate the effectiveness of their work based on the analysis of living conditions; identify the main dangers to the environment by legislative and legal acts and conceptual and terminological apparatus in the field of life safety and environmental protection;
8. carry out engineering and economic calculations of measures to ensure technosphere safety, read the project documentation and competently draw up a design task for measures;
9. establish the causes and conditions for the formation of combustible process fluids, sources of ignition; influence of technological parameters of processes on fire hazard based on analysis of the fire hazard of the object of protection, development of recommendations for ensuring fire and explosive safety, supervision and control;
10. perform engineering, scientific and methodological work, organizational work, in order to improve knowledge and skills under various working conditions, to conduct an examination of production processes from the standpoint of security;
11. competently address issues of radiation, chemical and biological protection, to ensure the prevention and elimination of emergency situations caused by accidents, catastrophes, environmental and natural disasters and the use of modern means of destruction, based on the study of nuclear weapons and the basics of its striking effect, the theoretical basis of the damaging effects of chemical agents and hazardous substances, technical and engineering bases for the use of protective equipment, physical and chemical bases for special treatment;
12. Able to comply with the requirements and restrictions in personal, work and social life, develop their own skills as well as choose and implement life plans.
