1. Academic Methodological Association (hereinafter AMA) is a consultative and advisory body in the system of higher and (or) postgraduate education, acting in accordance with the Regulations on the activities of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council of higher and (or) postgraduate education and Academic Methodological Associations in the areas of personnel training, approved by order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 12, 2018 No. 562.

 

2. The management of AMA is carried out by the Republican Educational and Methodological Council of higher and (or) postgraduate education (hereinafter - REMC) under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. AMA includes the chairman (chairman of the board - rector of NJO al-Farabi Kazakh National University), his deputy (board member - vice rector for academic affairs), academic secretary, representatives of higher and (or) postgraduate education organizations that train personnel in the relevant direction, representatives of employers, employers’ associations, international intergovernmental organizations, non-governmental organizations and other interested bodies, teachers and researchers.

4. Sections have been created for the profiles of personnel training under the AMA, which are approved by the REMC on the presentation of AMA.

5. The subject of AMA activities includes:

- interaction of organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education, representatives of employers, accreditation agencies and other organizations in order to improve the external and internal quality assurance systems of higher and (or) postgraduate education;

- preparation of recommendations for improving the state compulsory standards of higher and postgraduate education, a classifier of areas for training personnel with higher and postgraduate education;

- preparation of recommendations on the formation of learning outcomes in the areas of training personnel with higher and postgraduate education in accordance with the national qualification framework, sectoral qualification framework and professional standards;

- monitoring the provision of supervised areas of personnel training with higher education teaching personnel, literature, electronic databases and other necessary resources;

- examination, reviewing, textbooks, teaching aids, test assignments, educational publications of various levels in the supervised areas of personnel training with higher, postgraduate and additional education;

- formation of recommendations on the definition of core subjects of the unified national testing, complex testing of applicants in the areas of personnel training for admission to higher education organizations as well as disciplines for external assessment of educational achievements of students of higher education organizations;

- preparation of recommendations for the introduction of innovative educational technologies and the dissemination of advanced experience in the implementation of multilingual education, a dual education system;

- preparation of recommendations for improving the content of educational programs and teaching methods, taking into account the expectations and requirements of the employer as a consumer of educational services;

- analysis and generalization of world practice, including foreign universities in order to develop recommendatory methodologies for the creation of internal and external systems for ensuring the quality of the educational process.

6. AMA has the right:

- to make proposals to the REMC on improving educational-methodological and scientific-methodological work in the field of higher and postgraduate education;

- to request and receive from organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education, implementing educational programs of supervised areas of personnel training, information and other materials necessary for the implementation of the functions assigned to the AMA;

- to create working groups to study and develop proposals for the purpose of improving the educational-methodological and scientific-methodological work of organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education as well as other issues related to its competence;

- to participate in the organization of educational-methodological and scientific-methodological conferences, seminars and round tables.

7. AMA is responsible for:

- the violation of requirements of state compulsory standards of higher and postgraduate education;

- failure to perform functions assigned to its competence;

- other violations of requirements for the activities of AMA, not provided for in paragraph 26 of the regulations on the activities of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council of higher and (or) postgraduate education and Academic Methodological Associations in the areas of personnel training.
