About 300 school and university students from 49 countries took part in the 14th IOAA Hybrid Olympiad, which was held from November 14 to 21, 2021 in Bogota, Colombia.
And this year was a special joy! Continuously participating for ten years, the national team of Kazakhstan for the FIRST time won the GOLD MEDAL of the International Olympiad in astrophysics and astronomy!!!
The national team of Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad this year in the following composition: Haidar Orazkhan (Haileybury, Almaty), Diaz Espan, Sardar Konurbaev (Republican Physics and Mathematics School) and Pitebay Ersultan, Tursynkan Akezhan (Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics of Almaty), coaches Beissen Nurzada (professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) and Mansurova Aizhan (PhD student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, physics teacher at Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Almaty), advisors Daulet Imashev and Aliya Akhmetova (specialists of RFMS).
