On December 28, 2022, by order No. 216 of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, young and promising scientists of the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of al-Farabi KazNU Khokhlov Serik and Ibraimov Margulan were awarded the D.A. Kunaev Prize for the work "Development of new methods of neural network analysis and computer simulation for solving problems of astrophysics and electronics".   

       The award is held within the framework of the competition of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is awarded annually in order to encourage young scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of science and technology.

     Recognition of the scientific results of young scientists of al-Farabi KazNU and awarding them the D.A. Kunaev Prize is another confirmation of the leading position of the university in the field of research activities in Kazakhstan and the training of outstanding young researchers.
