Company Profile:

The KATCO JV LLP is Kazakh-French joint venture company in the field of mining and production of uranium, was established in 1996 to develop and operate the Muyunkum and Tortkuduk deposits in southern Kazakhstan, approximately 350 km north of Shymkent.

Shareholders are AREVA (51%) and National Company KazAtomProm (49%).

General Description

The main activity of KATCO JV involves:

• geological exploration;
• planning and construction of capacities for uranium-bearing ore mining and processing and use of these capacities at deposits, especially at the Muyunkum deposit in the South Kazakhstan region;

An intern is expected to work for about 2 months (Approx. January-February, 2013)
