Dr. Mian Muhammad Waseem Iqbal has received his PhD degree from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in 2021. He was inducted as Lecturer at Department of Information Security (NUST) in May 2012. In Feb 2015 he was promoted as Assistant Professor and in July 2022 as Associate Professor. He has worked on various administrative positions (Training Officer, Coordination Officer, PG Prog Coordination) at Dept of Information Security (NUST). His professional services include, but not limited to Industry Consultation, Workshops Organizer/Resource Person (International Workshops/Seminars), Technical Program Committee member, Member Accreditation team, Conference Chief Organizer, invited speaker, Teaching (UG/PG/PhD) courses, RnD, and reviewer for several international journals/conferences. He has authored over 65 scientific research articles in prestigious international journals (ISI-Indexed) like IoTJ, FGCS, Systems Journal, MTAP, IEEE Sensors, ACM Computing Surveys, and IEEE Comm Surveys & Tutorials, etc., along with reputed conferences like ICC etc. Dr. Waseem is currently supervising 3 x PhD, Co-Supervising 2 x PhD, 7 MS students (14 students have already passed out), and 15 UG projects. He has won 10 funded projects as Principal and Co-Principal investigator worth 206.8M PKR from Industry, NUST Def RnD, and Erasmus+. Dr. Waseem has conducted more than 15 CEH, CHFI, CSCU, and Forensics practical hands-on workshops for industry and public. In recognition of his services, he was awarded Overall University Best Teacher Award for the year 2014/15.
