In the course of the study course to develop the students ability: - to characterize the main stages of the formation of geographical science as a fundamental science; - to apply methodological approaches and methods of geographical research; - to interpret the idea of the process of formation of geographical science, its current state, its main theoretical and methodological problems; - to consider the specifics of geography as a science, its place in the system of scientific knowledge, the originality of its structure, organization and form of knowledge; - to examine the scientific areas of geography metageographical and scientific positions; to determine the main characteristics and factors of geographic shell development at different stages of its origin and evolution. The course "History and methodology of geography" examines the history of scientific geographical ideas, the development of theoretical concepts of geography as a holistic system of interrelated natural and social disciplines, modern methodological foundations and problems of geographical science, the basic methodological provisions of geographical science, the hierarchy of geographical knowledge, system, cybernetic, synergetic, information approaches, differentiation and integration processes in geographical science. Especially emphasized the problems of the integrity of geographical science, is characterized by the uniqueness of the science developing on the basis of the methodological unity of natural and socio-economic branches of its components, discusses the problem of the structure of science. The course is designed to contribute to the formation of a broad view of geographical science, understanding of its importance, the correct assessment of its achievements and challenges, the latest trends in modern world geography. The course also examines the possibility to generalize and systematize theoretical knowledge of physical geography, economic and social geography, political geography by identifying key problem aspects of science.

In the course of the study course to develop the students ability: - characterize the concepts associated with human participation in the production process; - to interpret the directions of economic development of the world economic system of human capital. - to determine the characteristics of human capital in an innovative organization; - highlight the features of human capital as an object of management; - to evaluate the results of studies of the main factors forming human capital; - to identify the specifics of the legal support of the human capital management system. The training course forms the basis of the process of human capital formation. The discipline is aimed at studying the main factors that shape human capital; the impact of higher education on the development of human capital in the modern world.
