Research work of the department

The research work of the department are conducted in fundamental and applied problems of plasma physics : the models of interaction of plasmas particles taking into account both quantum mechanical and correlation effects.

The division of plasma physics consists of three laboratories:

1. " Nonlinear and correlation processes in plasmas" (headed by prof. Y.V.Arkhipov)

2. " Mathematical modeling of processes in plasmas" (headed by prof. K.N. Dzhumagulova, scientific chief professor Т.S.Ramasanov)

3. " Pulse plasma accelerator” (headed by prof. A.M. Zhukeshov).

4. «Laboratory of dusty plasmas and plasma technology» (head of lab. –Danyarov Т. Т.,PhD on physics )

The department supports collaboration and conducts joint scientific researches with the following partners: Russian centre of science, Kurchatov’s institute, institute of nuclear synthesis, Incorporated institute of high temperatures of RAS, Physical institute named by P.N..Lebedev of RAS, Institute of general physics named by Prohorov, Moscow technical university, MSU named by M.V.Lomonosov, Institute of physics named be Stepanov NAS of Belarus, Institute of thermophysics of SB RAS, Berlin, Rostock universities of Germany, University of Orlean (France), Parisian university, Polytechnical university of Spain, Boston high college of USA, university of.
