From September 6 to 9, the International Scientific and Methodological Conference “Engineering Pedagogy and Enter Network – Achievements and Possibilities” was held in a hybrid format at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The conference was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project 598506-EPP-1-2018-1-PT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP - Engineering Educators Pedagogical Training (ENTER). The conference was organized and held by the teaching staff of the Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology, and Computer Physics, on the basis of which this project was carried out from 2018 to 2022. The conference was attended by representatives of universities from Portugal (Polytechnic Institute of Porto), Estonia (Tallinn Technical University, Tallinn), Slovakia (Dubnitsa Institute of Technology, Dubnica nad Vahom) and Kazakhstan (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University)., Karaganda State University named after academician E.A. Buketov), also international organizations: Association for Engineering Education of Russia (AEER) and Kazakhstan Association of Modern (Elite) Education (KazSEE). Within the framework of the conference, there were discussed both the main results of the project and the problems and methodological approaches in engineering pedagogy. In addition, there was also discussed the plans for the sustainable development of the ENTER network. |

PhD doctor,Acting Associate Professor of the Department Bastykova Nuria Khamitbekovna became the winner of the annual competition "The best teacher of the university -2020".
One of the important annual competitions is the "Best University Teacher" to reward teachers who make a great contribution to the development of science and education. As a result, in 2020, the title of "The best teacher of the university" was awarded to 18 teachers of al-Farabi KazNU, among them associate professor of the Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology and Computer Physics Bastykova Nuriya Khamitbekovna. The performance of teachers was assessed according to various indicators, which were divided into two blocks - the quality of teaching and research activities. This grant will allow them to undergo an internship at the best foreign university, improve their qualifications and implement their scientific and educational projects. CONGRATULATIONS !!!! |

The professor of the department Ramazanov Tlekkabyl Sabitovich, as reported by the "Kazakh Uni" newspaper, has today become a world famous Kazakh scientist. Professor is the holder of the State grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "The best teacher of the university" (2006) and twice the holder of the State scientific scholarship for scientists and specialists who made an outstanding contribution to the development of science and technology (2002 - 2006). The professor has over 200 scientific publications in high impact factor journals. The Hirsch index is 25. |

The award has been presented as part of the Contest of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and is held annually to encourage young scientists, who have made a significant contribution to the development of science and technology. The award winners included following post-doctorates: S.A. Orazbayev, E.A. Ussenov, PhD D.G. Batryshev, head of Laboratory of Engineering E. Erlanuly, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Plasma physics, nanotechnology and computer physics PhD A.U. Utegenov. The award was given for the work titled “Development of scientific foundations for obtaining nanostructured materials based on modern plasma technologies for practical applications”. The work aims to develop a scientific framework for the synthesis of nanostructured materials based on modern plasma technologies, to study the properties of plasma, to analyze morphological and structural characteristics manufactured nanomaterials and prospects for their application. Practical significance of the work is that the results of nanostructured materials synthesized within the plasma environment will provide the scientific basis for new effective methods and technologies for industrial applications. More than 200 scientific articles have been published as a result of the work, of which more than 40 articles were in high impact journals, confirming the relevance of the studies carried out at the international level, 4 patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan were received. Recognition of scientific achievements of Al-Farabi KazNU young scientists, as well as them getting a Kunaev award represent a reaffirmation of the university’s leadership in both Kazakhstan's research activities and training of prominent young scholars. |
