At the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an outstanding writer, playwright, laureate of the State Prize, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan Dulat Isabekov delivered a leadership lecture to professors and students.

Leadership lectures have become a good tradition of the university. Opening the event, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev on behalf of the audience congratulated the writer on his 80^th birthday. On the eve of the anniversary, famous artist received the high state title "Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan".

"Dulat Isabekov was a distinguished student, he supervised the literary circle named after him. Mukhtar Auezov, was an exemplary student of outstanding academicians – Zeynolla Kabdolov, Temirgali Nurtazin. He graduated from the Philological faculty of KazNU in 1966 and went through a long creative path. His books "Kara Shanyrak", "Kargyn", "Gauhar Tas" were highly appreciated by readers," Zhanseit Tuimebayev announced.

"The Golden Age of Kazakh literature is the twentieth century. At that time, starting with the works of Beimbet Maylin, books were published about the national Kazakh flag, passport, and other topics that were the pride of the nation. For many years, we – Takhaoui Akhtanov, Sherkhan Murtaza, Mukagali Makatayev – created the magazine "Zhuldyz", which was published in 260 thousand copies. At that time, Kazakh society was close to literature. I imagine Kazakhstan as a large reading room. Now I wonder if the reader will come to the reading room? I hope that today's society, swollen by smartphones and gadgets, will return from an electronic version to a paper book" the writer emphasized the importance of literature.

The lecture also revealed the importance of creative searches in literature. Many contemporary works today do not meet the requirements of drama. A real writer should think about the question of what he will give not only to the nation, but also to the people of the world.
