COOPERATION BETWEEN KAZNU AND THE INSTITUTE OF NUCLEAR PHYSICS WILL BE STRENGTHENED

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with representatives of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting the parties discussed the prospects for the development of mutual cooperation.

The head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebayev outlined concrete proposals for beneficial partnership between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Institute of Nuclear Physics. "We suggest you to consider the possibility of participating in the implementation of educational programs for specialized training of students. The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is ready to organize and carry out joint scientific fundamental and applied research in areas of science and technology development, " the rector of the university said.

In turn supporting the initiatives of the rector, Director General of the Institute of Nuclear Physics Sayabek Sakhiyev spoke about the current activities of the Institute of Nuclear Physics. "On the basis of our institute there are 20 research laboratories, research reactor, 3 scientific and technical centers with modern analytical experimental equipment and 2 training centers. I reckon that our cooperation will make a worthy contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel. I also want to inform you that the 65th anniversary of the Institute of Nuclear Physics will take place from September 26 to 30, 2022. Within the framework of this large-scale event it is planned to hold 5 international meetings. We invite you to take part in this event too," Sayabek Sakhiyev stated.

In conclusion, the parties expressed their readiness to continue active bilateral cooperation. As a result of the meeting an agreement was reached on the creation of a Consortium between the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Institute of Nuclear Physics within the educational programs for specialized training of students.
