The President of Kazakhstan visited the Presidential Library, met with Turkish businessmen, and held a press conference. In connection with the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan, today in Istanbul (Turkey) opened a branch of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. Integrating into the world's scientific and educational space, KazNU increases recognition and expands its network as a leading exporter of educational services.

The branch of the university will carry out the program of higher professional education, promote the integration of science and education in the international scientific and educational space, scientific, methodological, and personnel support for the development of science and education, and ensure the competitiveness of the university, etc.  

To date, the best university in Kazakhstan, included in the top 200 world ranking of QS cooperates with more than 20 Turkish universities. The opening of the branch is a big step in the development of bilateral relations between Kazakh National University and Turkish universities, which provide for the implementation of projects in the academic mobility, exchange of teachers and students, and joint research. 247 undergraduates of 8 faculties of Kazakh National University after Al-Farabi have had scientific and research practice and internships in universities of Turkey since the beginning of the year. 

      

 

As noted by the specialists of the university, in the first year of the branch it is planned to admit 500 students from the Republic of Turkey and other foreign countries. "At the branch of Kazakh National University will be trained in professional educational programs of higher and postgraduate education, - said the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev at the opening ceremony. 

In addition, on the basis of the branch will be implemented programs of further professional education, research projects, and expert and analytical studies". In addition, Istanbul signed a cooperation agreement between KazNU and the University of Turkey - Hacettepe University. This memorandum will promote the development and increase the pace of cooperation between universities, contributing to the implementation of joint educational programs and projects.
