NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MODERNIZATION OF SCIENTIFIC INFRASTRUCTURE

At the next academic council of Al-Farabi KazNU, they discussed topical issues related to the modernization of the scientific infrastructure at the university, optimization of work and the development of digital competencies of the teaching staff for the implementation of distance learning in modern conditions.

As a result of the discussion, decisions were made to optimize the work of this direction of the university's activities. The presentation “On the modernization of scientific infrastructure and digitalization of science at the university, was presented by the acting Vice-rector for scientific and innovative activities T.S. Ramazanov.

Al-Farabi KazNU is the only university in the Republic of Kazakhstan with a unique scientific and innovative infrastructure. It includes: 8 scientific research institutes and LIP of natural science direction, 21 scientific research institutes and scientific centers of socio-humanitarian profile, 8 scientific research institutes and scientific centers of natural sciences (structural subdivisions), 10 scientific research institutes "Gylym Ordasy" and 97 branches of departments at enterprises. about the new structure of the NID management, goals and objectives, as well as the work carried out and the results achieved.

It was noted that KazNU launched 25 research and innovation projects in the field of digitalization, which are successfully carried out at the faculties: Mechanics and Mathematics, Higher School of Economics and Business, Physics and Technology, Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Information Technology. DNID prepares a quarterly report on the activities and scientific achievements of the university for the COMSATS newsletter. Work is underway with the embassies / consulates of Kazakhstan abroad in order to find potential partners. There is a SciVal Funding platform (Funding Institutional) designed to help scientists and educators in finding funding for international research projects and internships. The results of the work on the planned updates of the scientific journals of KazNU and the implemented functions of Google Analytics were announced.

The director of the department for ensuring the development of IT infrastructure N. Kudaibergenuly spoke in detail about the optimization and digital reengineering of the university's business processes. He noted that the reengineering of business processes is a university management function, the purpose of which is to optimize the most important performance indicators of KazNU. These are the quality of education, the cost of educational services, marketing, finance, the level of services provided, and the construction of information management systems. At this time, the university is focused on building management information systems and business processes of the university. KazNU has its own corporate system Univer-2. It allows you to automate many processes, such as: management of the educational process, educational and methodological, research, financial and economic, socio-educational, administrative and management activities and electronic educational resources. In addition, more than 20 automated workstations, an electronic document management system for monitoring and analyzing the educational process, filing electronic applications on the one-stop-shop principle, registration for students, etc. are connected to this system. The speaker also announced information about the IT infrastructure and its work. The university has 63 computer classes with 818 personal computers. The university has a total of 4168 computers.

At the Academic Council, the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the NJSC "Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi" Zhanseit Tuymebaev focused the attention of scientists on the activation of scientific and innovative activities. Specific examples were given of some research institutes and laboratories that develop new drugs and are engaged in their implementation. The rector of the university urged scientists to consolidate and direct all their efforts and knowledge to create new scientific developments and products that will stimulate the country's economy and bring great benefit to society and the university.

The meeting also considered and discussed issues of creating the journal "Journal of Problem in Computer Science and Information Technologies", recommendations for the publication of monographs by university teachers and the awarding of academic titles to teachers.
