Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuymebaev visited the Research and Production Center for Microbiology and Virology. The rector got acquainted with the production of biological and medical products for agriculture, health care and environmental protection. The purpose of the visit is joint cooperation in the field of science and technology, the creation and implementation of new domestic drugs and technologies, and the exchange of experience.

During the meeting, the head of the center introduced the rector of KazNU to the preparation process, their main characteristics, consumption rates and methods of their use.

First, Amankeldi Sadanov told Zhanseit Tuymebaev about a biological product for the remediation of oil-contaminated soils. According to him, this product is very useful for the western regions of the country. Because the biological product reduces the toxicity of oil-contaminated soil, promotes soil restoration, and does not have a harmful effect on other ecosystems. In addition, a domestic product is 10 times cheaper and 2 times more effective than foreign drugs. Also, the rector of the university was provided with information about the products under the name "Bentobak". The feed additive contributes to better assimilation of roughage, reducing the risk of acidosis in farm animals and poultry. The biological product is available in powder form. There is already a demand for domestic products.

Among the products presented to the rector there is also an antifungal drug. Its advantage is a wide range of antifungal action, the absence of resistant forms of pathogens of fungal infections, high efficiency and a short course of treatment. By order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, these products are included in the state list of medicines.

Having received full information about the activities of the center, Zhanseit Tuymebaev highly appreciated the work done and noted the effectiveness of joint work in the future. “New initiatives are needed in the field of science and technology. With the help of modern technologies, we must prepare and produce new drugs. In this regard, Amankeldi Sadanov, who has many years of experience, has a lot to learn. Joint work will allow us to reach new heights and achievements, ”concluded the rector of the university.
