The Al-Farabi Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues a series of online Science Talks dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the great thinker, comprehension of his creative heritage and its significance for contemporaries, as well as current issues of science.

Well-known scientists and Al-Farabi studies experts take part in Al-Farabi Science Talks.

On October 8, at 17.00 (Nur-Sultan time), within the framework of the project part I "Abu Nasr al-Farabi - the philosopher of civilization" will be held an online webinar "Uniting the ideas of antiquity and the Islamic world".

The speakers are: Simeon Evstatiev, professor of Middle Eastern History and Islamic Studies, Head of the Department of Arab and Semitic Studies, Director of the Center for the Study of Religions of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (Bulgaria); Samal Tuleubaeva, Doctor of Philology, Professor of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan ).

The moderator of the online event will be Professor Aliya Masalimova, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Al-Farabi KazNU.
