Al-Farabi KazNU opened the branches of the Department of Publishing, Editorial and Design Art of the Journalism Faculty in the «Kazakh Encyclopediasi» Publishing House and the National Book Chamber.

The «Kazakh Encyclopediasi» Publishing House was visited by teachers of KazNU, headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Sagatbek Medeubekuly. During the meeting, a bilateral agreement on cooperation between the University and the Publishing House was signed.

The branch faces important tasks of training qualified publishing staff in practice. Training on the basis of the Publishing House will allow students to combine practical and theoretical knowledge, unleash the capabilities of young specialists to the maximum, equip them with practical skills. The branch will prepare competent editors, proofreaders and layout designers. During the meeting, various problems and issues related to publishing in Kazakhstan have also been discussed. The branch was headed by the Director of «Kazakh Encyclopediasi» Zhadyr Toybaev.

Literally the next day, a branch of the Department of Publishing, Editing and Design was opened in the National Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the ceremony, the famous poet Almas Akhmetbek read a poem with a deep meaning «Kok Tudyn Zhelbiregenі», which made a great impression on the audience.

At the end of the event, the director of the National Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan Adil Koitanov and the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Sagatbek Medeubekuly signed a bilateral agreement.
