Student's Meeting with Deputy

Students of the Faculty Geography and Environmental Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University met with a Deputy of the sixth convocation maslikhat of Almaty city, assistant deputy factions of Nur Otan, Honorary Worker of Education Badaeva Roza Keneskhanovna on November 29, on the eve the Day of First President of country.
In her welcoming speech, Roza Keneskhanovna told students that the people of Kazakhstan have been celebrating the Day of the First President of the country for the seventh year and that this holiday differs from other holidays in its versatility.
On December 1, 1991, the first nationwide presidential election was held in Kazakhstan and with a result of 98.78 percent of Elbasy’s votes, Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev was elected the First President of Kazakhstan.
On December 10, 1991, the First President signed the law on renaming the Kazakh SSR to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and on December 16 of that year, the Supreme Council proclaimed the state independence of Kazakhstan, which meant that Kazakhstan became a sovereign state.
Under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, the First President, the multinational people of Kazakhstan began to build a new country. It was a difficult but glorious path. The multinational people of Kazakhstan rallied around Elbasy, as he, having the status of the First President of the country, ensured the strengthening of the unity of the nation, protection of the Constitution, human rights and freedoms. Both domestically and abroad, the First President of Kazakhstan paid special attention to maintaining peace and harmony in difficult political situations.
On the initiative of the people of Kazakhstan, in order to recognize the merits of Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, December 1 has became a holiday that is celebrated by the multinational people of Kazakhstan from year to year.
Rosa Keneshkhanovna carefully listened to questions, suggestions from the students. None of the questions went unanswered or attention. Many students talked about themselves, their plans, their specialty and their vision of the development of education in Kazakhstan.
The students warmly thanked Rosa Keneskhanovna for the meeting, congratulated on the upcoming holiday, the Day of the First President, and wished for «Nur Otan» fruitful future.
