Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Galimkair Mutanov, Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, reported the press service of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.

During the meeting Elbasy emphasized the importance of the higher educational institution's further development and the strengthening of its international authority.

«It is important to raise the credibility of the University. The challenge is to form the research University. It is necessary to pay attention to the quality of education and to increase the level of training of the faculty. Iinstruction was given to build student dormitories to improve the living conditions of students», - said the First President of Kazakhstan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev was also informed about the preparation of events dedicated to the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr al-Farabi.
