At the closing ceremony of the 15th jubilee work season of «Zhasyl El» Republican Student Groups, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was declared the winner in the nomination «The Best Educational Institution».

The awarding ceremony was held in the city of Pavlodar with the participation of the Speaker of the Senate of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva and the Akim of the Pavlodar region Bulat Bakauov.

It should be noted that in 2005, on the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Leader of the Nation, Nursultan Nazarbayev, student construction and labor groups «Zhasyl El» were revived. The goal is a contribution to the implementation of state youth policy, the formation of patriotism, the cultivation of industriousness, the opening of great opportunities for the younger generation.

During the summer working season, 167 students worked at KazNU, they carried out cleaning and upgrading, as well as greening KazNU campus and the territory of Almaty. They were provided with work clothes, hot meals and free accommodation in a hostel. In August, the 20 best fighters of the student groups «Zhasyl El» received tickets to the sports and health center of KazNU on the lake «Issyk-Kul» (Kyrgyzstan).
