An open lecture on the new educational program «Robotics Systems» was held in the students’ house as part of the event «Days of the Department of Mechanics in the Dormitory».

The lectures were held by coordinator of the educational program «Robotics Systems», Acting Professors Zh.T. Zhumasheva and lecturer B. Sagitzhanov of the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty.

For the first time in Kazakhstan, the educational program «Robotics Systems» was opened on the basis of the Department of Mechanics at Al-Farabi KazNU this year.

Currently, Robotics is turning into one of the key areas of development of science, engineering and technology, which in the XXI century will determine the scientific, technical, industrial and defense potential of the state.

Lecturers talk about the history of robotics, which has become a global trend today and continues to evolve. Most developed countries rely precisely on this sphere. Japan and Germany are the leaders in this direction, while the South Korea and Singapore are not far behind them.

It was also noted that «Robotics Systems» is one of the most popular specialties of our time, a real profession of the future. This specialty is interdisciplinary, standing on three pillars - mechanics, information systems and electronics.

At the end of the lecture, students of the Department of Mechanics presented their scientific projects, such as «Smart Glove» (Ubaidullaнev Bauyrzhan), «KazRoboBot» (Dauit Dildabek), «Delta Robot» (Altynbek Zharmukhamet), «Space Engineering and Technologies» and answered to the questions.
