Events dedicated to the Chuseok holiday and «Meeting between Sonbe and Hube» were held at the Division of Korean Studies of the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU.

All students of the Department attended the annual event. Each course prepared original musical and poetic numbers, which were dedicated to the new school year and to all first-year students. Thus, the acquaintance of senior courses with first-year students took place.

Thanks to the work of teachers and curators-advisers of the Department of the Far East, the student fraternity strengthens from year to year, which helps to achieve not only excellent success in studies and competitions at the international level, but also to shape the spiritual development of youth.

It is noteworthy that this year the initiation into students was held along with the Korean national holiday Chuseok - Harvest Day.

Students presented the festive Korean national dishes of Songpyeong and Injolmi and many other dishes and drinks. Thanks to the events, all students of the Department became friends, wishing each other success in the new academic semester.
