The delegation of students, undergraduates and doctoral students of Waseda University of Japan, headed by Professor Ogihara Atsushi visited the Department of the Far East of Al-Farabi KazNU as part of the Summer School.

This year, the Study Tour KazNU-Waseda is being held for the 20th time. The library of the Department once again replenished with rich educational and reference material for studying the Japanese language, being received as a gift from the Waseda University.

The International Student Symposium became an interesting and informative venue, at which students of two partner Universities presented their presentations and discussed issues of interest to modern youth. The Homestay program (dialogue of cultures) and daily lectures by teachers on the history, culture and education system of the two countries were also held as part of the summer school.

It should be noted that such events not only help strengthen relations between Universities, but also provide an incentive for students to study the culture and language of the Land of the Rising Sun.
