Young scientists have defended their PhD thesis at the Department of Press and Electronic Media of the Faculty of Journalism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Zarina Buenbayeva has defended her PhD thesis on the theme "East and West Media Process: Tradition, Content and Convergence (Comparative Analysis)", Kuralai Mukusheva - "Kazakh Ideology of the Twentieth Century: Concept of National Idea and Steppe" and Aigerim Tazilova - "Public Diplomacy in Global Communications Network" and Gauhar Zhumabekova on "The poetry of the Kazakh poets and writers during the years of independence", their research works have received a positive evaluation from the experts and they get a PhD degree in "6D050400 - Journalism". Graduates have completed this academic year with good results.

Applications for PhD program will last until August 5, 2019.
