Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU, academician Galym Mutanov commented on the decision of the Nur Otan party to nominate Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as a candidate for the position of Head of the State.

Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich is the most worthy candidate who stood together with the First President at the beginnings of the establishment of an independent Kazakhstan and he has represented it in the international arena. He has all the qualities of a leader of the highest state level. He has vast experience, he has headed the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and he was the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, and he was directly engaged in the implementation of important government reforms and development programs.
