Al-Farabi KazNU is the only University in Central Asia to be listed in the top 210 among the world best HEIs by the international QS World University Rankings. Moving forward another 13 positions, it took the 207th place. Only two Universities in the post-Soviet space are included in this group - KazNU and Lomonosov Moscow State University (RF).
Al-Farabi KazNU and the University of Tsukuba (Japan) are expanding cooperation in the framework of the «Campus in Campus» project. Such an agreement was reached during the meeting of KazNU’s Rector, Academician Galym Mutanov with a delegation from a Japanese University headed by Vice President Caroline Benton.
An advanced training courses entitled «Environment Radioactivity Monitoring-2019» for nuclear industry workers was held on the basis of Al-Farabi KazNU and the Institute of Nuclear Physics, the event was jointly organized with the Japan Atomic Energy Agency.
The child goes to school for the first time. This is an important event not only in his life, but also in the life of his parents. Therefore, for the third consecutive year the «Parasat» Trade Union of workers of Al-Farabi KazNU, with the support of the University administration, presented all the children, who go to the first class, school bags and school supplies. This is a good social support for parents. Thus, the Trade Union and the University decided not to stop there: this year, 211 future first-graders received briefcases, notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil cases, watercolors and drawing albums.
In the framework of the «Ruhani Zhangiru» program, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University jointly with the «Sanaly Urpaq» project office, launches the project «Teaching students of integrity and righteousness». This was stated during a scientific seminar on the methodological foundations of the formation of integrity among young people and the cultivation of ethics in the University environment. Rpresentatives of the «Sanaly Urpaq» republican project office, teachers of higher educatioenal institutions of Almaty and leading experts in the field of ethics and law took part in it.
