An event dedicated to the 130^th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist, literary critic, brilliant scientist in the field of education of Kazakhstan Shamgali Sarybayev, who made a worthy contribution to the development of culture and spirituality of the country, was held in Almaty.

A delegation headed by Vice-President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Zhang Tao, Director General of the Bureau of Science and Technology for Development of CAS Wen Ya and Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Jiang Wei arrived at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on a working visit and familiarized with the scientific infrastructure of the university.
