The purpose of the EP |
Preparation of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel capable of: interpreting the scientific foundations of modern tourism; systematize and interpret scientific theories and concepts of the newest directions of the modern tourism industry in order to further apply this knowledge in the implementation of the scientific research; to carry out independent scientific research on the basis of material adequate to the object of study, the choice of methodology with a projection on the development of promising areas of the tourism industry; evaluate and determine the significance of a product of its and other scientific activities; reasonably represent and defend their own scientific opinion in the course of scientific discussions, including in a foreign language; to carry out scientific and pedagogical activity in higher education; manage tourism industry organizations based on modern principles, methods and functions of management. The program takes into account structural, methodological and organizational innovations of relevant domestic and foreign universities, modern trends in the system of tourism education, including individual learning paths that provide for intellectual and personal development, professional improvement in the chosen field of the research. |

Educational outcomes |
LO1: Develops innovative, new, creative scientific theoretical, methodical, pedagogical, practical solutions in the field of tourism based on a deep understanding and objective analysis of its scientific foundations and practical experience. LO 2: It performs research and development in the field of tourism on the basis of masterly possession of algorithms and tools research initiative or in scientific and industrial institutions, including in the area of higher education; LO 3: develop state tourism programs at the country and regional levels; creates tourist strategic, tactical, operational documents, regulations, guidelines, taking into account the development of capital markets, comprehensive analysis and structuring of the problems of modern tourist industry. LO 4: creates scientific concepts and approaches for the formation and development of the modern tourism industry, interpret quantitative indicators of the dynamics of tourism development, including using Big Data, using the results at the planning stages, direct research, summarizing the results and conclusions; LO 5: Performs independently educational, methodical and other pedagogical developments for the preparation of core specialists and the organization of extracurricular work at a higher educational institution with the development of innovative and original educational technologies and methods. LO 6: Conducts expert assessment and consulting in the professional tourist area for research, teaching and socio-cultural projects, diagnosing problems and developing their targeted solutions for tourist enterprises. LO 7: It develops and applies quantitative (including mathematical and statistical), qualitative, cartographic (using the latest GIS technologies, remote sensing) research methods to solve a wide range of tasks of the professional tourist area. LO 8: Interprets the experimental material with the presentation of the results in the form of a scientific monograph, thesis, scientific report, article, abstract, business correspondence with the presentation of innovative ideas and reasoned opinion for professional audiences and non-specialists. LO 9: Predicts consumer preferences, models pricing and taxation mechanisms, creates technological, informational support, tools to support and develop the tourism business. LO 10: Organizes and effectively coordinates practical, managerial activities in the field of tourism with highly efficient solution of managerial tasks. LO 11: Performs quantitative, financial, resource and other calculations based on the original combination, an innovative set of operating methods and tools, or an author's approach for designing popular tourist products, territories, and developing tourism. LO 12: Student conducts civilized scientific and professional discussions, publishes scientific, educational, popular works of a professional nature in domestic and foreign publications, including in an advanced foreign language. |

Academic activities |
The academic activity of the EP is carried out:within the framework of existing regulatory documents and methodical guidelines in the field of higher education in the field of services,as a result of the implementation of regulations governing the educational and methodological process at the university;by generalization and dissemination of new normative legal acts concerning methodological work;by current and long-term planning of educational and methodological work of the university; by coordination of the educational and methodological complex of the discipline (EMCD) of the department for compliance with regulatory legal acts, the working curriculum and the educational program;by monitoring the provision of the educational process with educational and methodological materials, by documenting the results;by development of teaching materials; by development and implementation of a working curriculum. |

Scientific activity |
For the implementation of the educational program at the faculty there are:a specialized tourism office;special tourist equipment and for field expeditionary research;GDS “SABER” specialized class/laboratory;GIS laboratory;communication and technical equipment with appropriate software support. |

Academic mobility is implemented on the basis of relevant agreements with partner universities, including foreign universities, in particular, Kodolanyi Janos University of Applied Sciences (Hungary), Anadolu University and Ankara University (Turkey), Belgorod National Research University, Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin, St. Petersburg University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, RUDN University (Russia), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) (China), etc. There is a possibility of academic mobility within the framework of the Tourism Sub-Alliance of University Alliance of the Silk Road (Xi'an, Hong Kong, Samarkand, Almaty), network programs of UNWTO TedQual. Program participants (more than 80 leading specialized universities in the world), international programs MEVLANA, Erasmus +, etc. |
