To train interdisciplinary specialists - biophysicists who have knowledge of the most important physical processes occurring in living organisms, who have the ability to explain the relationship between the physical and biological aspects of the functioning of living systems, and also to form the skills of a biophysical approach to the experimental study of biological phenomena and regularities necessary for work in scientific research. research institutes, scientific and diagnostic centers, in secondary and higher educational institutions. |

Educational outcome |
A graduate after studying this program will be able to:
ON1. Analyze the processes and phenomena in living nature from the standpoint of physicochemical laws and understanding the structure of biophysical processes in the study of biosystems; ON2. To be able to interpret and explain the patterns of functioning, development and evolution of biosystems from the standpoint of thermodynamics and synergetics; ON3. Explain and reveal the mechanism of the impact of external factors on living organisms and biosystems, based on the ideas of the unity of the physical world; ON4. To conduct research on various physiological and biophysical processes in biosystems, having mastered the methods and skills of working on modern laboratory medical and biological equipment (preparing material for research, conducting experiments on biological objects: plants, microorganisms, animals, humans); ON5. Apply methods of laboratory analysis (calorimetry, spectrophotometry, electrophysiological studies, mechanographic, optical and electron microscopy, morphometric and cytophotometric, and others) to describe the biophysical mechanisms underlying the studied physiological phenomena in living organisms of different levels of complexity; ON6. Effectively use and eliminate minor malfunctions of modern electronic medical equipment and functional diagnostic equipment, ensure the verification of instruments; ON7. Determine and establish with the help of modern functional diagnostic equipment and computer technology, together with a specialist doctor, the diagnosis of patients with major diseases or make an assessment of their functional state; ON8. Use various types of information and communication technologies in professional activities both for conducting the research itself and for preparing the required scientific documentation, publications and reports. ON9. Organize and conduct the educational process in biology based on knowledge about the main problems of biology, about the state and prospects for the development of its most important areas, their role in the knowledge of the fundamental laws of life, be able to determine educational tasks in teaching biology. ON10. Plan your work taking into account the needs of society, select and adapt the scientific content of educational materials, taking into account the age of students, choose the optimal forms and methods of educational activities. ON11. Build effective cooperation with colleagues, including foreign ones, in order to achieve professional goals and create conditions for the development of their creative abilities. ON12. Build the trajectory of your professional growth and development throughout your professional career, observing the principles of bioethics, ensuring your high competitive ability. |
