Round table on the topic: «UNESCO water family: Cooperation in the field of education and science in Central Asia»

On the 10th December, 2021, the «UNESCO department for sustainable development» took part in an online round table on the topic: «UNESCO water family: Cooperation in the field of education and science in Central Asia», which was organized by the Kazakh-German University in cooperation with the UNESCO office in Almaty.
The purpose of this round table was to discuss the possibilities of strengthening the role of UNESCO Intergovernmental Hydrological Program (IHP) in Central Asia. Within the framework of this event, Representatives of the Center, UNESCO Chairs and Committees working in the field of sustainable water resources management in Central Asia exchanged experiences and discussed the difficulties associated with the implementation of their activities.
O.A. Zubova, deputy head for scientific and innovative work and international relations of the UNESCO department for sustainable development, who participated in the event, familiarized the audience with the main activities of the department in the field of integrated water resources management.
In particular, she spoke about the results of the department's participation in the international TEMPUS I-WEB project «Integrated water management: improving the ability, qualifications and influence in education and business», namely: the development of a master's and doctoral program on integrated water resources management, the development of learning outcomes, including materials modules on the requirements of the Bologna Process and third-party professional organizations, the release of the monograph «Integrated water resources management in Kazakhstan» (in Kazakh, English and Russian) and a glossary on this topic.
