Aim of EP

The aim of the educational program "Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications" to provide training of qualified specialists in information and telecommunication technologies who are able to use the latest achievements in the field of radio engineering and telecommunications, who have the skills to work with electronic devices and devices, technical maintenance of telecommunications equipment, data processing with a given degree of accuracy, who can develop recommendations for the operation and support of network communication equipment.

Expected learning outcomes EP

Upon completion of this educational program, students are expected to be able to:

ON1.   Understand the basic physical processes underlying electronics, optoelectronics, microelectronics and electrical engineering, apply mathematical methods of calculation, analysis and modeling of electrical circuits in order to design digital and analog electronic measuring devices and devices for various special purposes.

ON2.   Explain the physical and mathematical principles and methods of designing electrical circuits that underlie digital processing and encoding of information, data mining, building decision-making algorithms, the basics of control theory, modern methods of designing artificial intelligence for image processing, computer vision, neural networks and machine learning, as well as the design of robotic systems.

ON3.   Apply physical and mathematical methods for transmitting, receiving and processing signals in control systems, communication equipment and control and monitoring units, and interpret the results obtained using digital electronic devices in control systems.

ON4.   Solve engineering problems in the field of analog and digital electronics, adaptive control systems and robotic systems using modern hardware and software for the design of electronic devices for various purposes;

ON5.   Use modern methods of modeling, programming and simulation to develop functional blocks of industrial electronic devices based on modern microprocessors, microcontrollers, programmable logic integrated circuits and electronic sensors.

ON6.   Design electronic devices and digital control units using electrical and optical components, integrated circuits, microprocessors and microcontrollers for the development of digital devices used in industrial electronics using modern hardware and software.

ON7.   Integrate and analyze the basic principles of building industrial, transformative electronic systems at the hardware level for diagnostics and testing using appropriate software.

ON8.   Apply design methods for analog and digital electronic devices, encoding, filtering, transmitting, receiving, and protection against failures and unauthorized access to develop industrial intelligent adaptive control systems.

ON9.   Organize industrial process control systems using automated process control systems to design monitoring systems, remote control systems, and IoT technologies.

ON10. Design and perform calculations of individual blocks and electronic devices, control and automation systems, computing and measuring equipment and robotic systems to solve the technical problem.

ON11. Design digital electronic systems using modern SMART technologies and the Internet of things to meet desired needs within real constraints, such as economic, environmental, social, ethical, health and safety, technology and sustainable development.

ON12. Apply the fundamental principles, methodologies and concepts of the culture of interpersonal communication, including in a foreign language, have a systematic thinking when setting goals and tasks related to professional activities, form their own point of view in worldview and civil issues, commercialize the results of professional activities, protect intellectual property in the development of electronic and digital devices;

International activity

During the educational process, students have the opportunity to study for a semester or year in another institution of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan or abroad with the obligatory transfer of educational programs mastered in the form of credits in their university. Remote technologies are used in the educational process for students with distance learning who have left the country for an internship or study at a university in another country.
