- Explore new and traditional media, deepen their value and disseminate with the help of pedagogical and psychological technologies of media education among target, potential and real audiences.
- Apply critical thinking as a system of judgments and use it for the philosophical analysis of information and data, interpretation, didactics, assessment, as well as for the subsequent construction of objective scientific conclusions.
- Transmit key concepts to media using traditional and emerging IT media education technologies.
- Understand the information flow, evaluate the input data, expand the methods of checking& news information according to the basic algorithm «5W + H», give your own assessment of media texts and involve others in this.
- Use narratives, framing, commentary, fact-checking, media criticism as communicative mediators of media education in transforming communities into «media cities».
- Express ideas and solve problems through a variety of creative media practices, working with images, texts, sound and data, be able to recommend how to create different types of media content for different purposes and explore the social and cultural consequences of interventions based on the recommendations of international organizations.
- To develop the ability for independent analytical and evaluative work with media practitioners of any complexity, countering disinformation, developing advanced communication skills in Kazakh, Russian, English and other languages.
- Identify problems, clarify situations, carry out argumentation for a comprehensive study of the issue with the involvement of philosophical knowledge, pedagogy, development of criteria for evaluating decisions and the reliability of information sources in the course of scientific research.
- Decrypt the principles of data verification based on the scientific results obtained, carry out media reflection in the digital environment, maintain the level of media criticism for the transparency of Kazakhstani media education, using media managing.
- Follow the principles of creating modern media texts for different media platforms using hardware, software and networking.
- Construct clear, effective and professional communication with the audience, using evidence-based information and applying classic and modern information and communication technologies.
- Teach media education at school, college, university, using the integrative experience of media, pedagogy, new digital technologies, in native and foreign languages.
