Training specialists at the cross-industry profiles of publishing management and typography, with the skills to manage publishing projects, design text, graphics and multimedia materials.

Learning outcomes

  1. ON1 To carry out professional activities at the intersection of publishing management and typography from the perspective of the latest scientific theories and concepts about languages   and texts.
  2. ON2 Develop areas of typography from the perspective of publishing as a result of integrative processes in the following areas: corporate (logos and branding), editorial (books, newspapers, magazines), navigation, web design, etc.
  3. ON3 To analyze typography as an ideological and creative method of activity, historically formed under the influence of aesthetics, economics, psychology, sociology, philosophy, etc., and legal management in publishing as an organizational model of publishing.
  4. ON4 To use the traditions of national graphics, original fonts while creating various types of domestic graphic and electronic products.
  5. ON5 To develop scientific design at the intersection of publishing and typography as the basis of graphic design; principles of organizational culture of publishing houses in the context of a paradigm shift in publishing.
  6. ON6 To conduct research in the publishing and graphic design field, to use the methodology of content analysis for text and visual material in the context of various areas of semiotics.
  7. ON7 Process media content by using professional graphics programs: CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign: preparation for publishing book, newspaper, magazine, advertising publications, content of digital documents.
  8. ON8 Predict the main trends of interaction between the media and the audience, the direction of editorial management and typography.
  9. ON9 Model a scientific conception of the development of the legal framework for publishing,  printing and design projects.
  10. ON10 To contextualize new professional information in an electronic publishing environment.
  11. ON11 To systematize promising directions in the development of bibliology sciences, polygraphy and design creativity.
  12. ON12 Synthesize modern methods of teaching publishing management and typography, the results in the master's dissertation, scientific publications, pedagogical activities.
