Aim

The aim of educational program is preparation of multilingual specialists for the scientific and educational spheres of higher educational institutions.

The program is aimed at the formation of a professional personality specialist, capable of:

-interpret and summarize the deep modern knowledge of the latest theories in the basic sciences of philology, foreign philology and modern methodology of foreign language education in the framework of scientific paradigms;

- independently carry out research in the field using the conceptual and methodological apparatus of the theoretical and applied tasks of modern philology, taking into account the dynamics of its development, correlating scientific concepts with their own linguistic / literary studies;

- integrate advanced and specialized knowledge in the field of related disciplines in the context of their own scientific research;

- to solve specialized problems related to the conduct of scientific research, to interpret and communicate the findings and the results of the knowledge and procedure used to form them, both to specialists and non-specialists;

- to design the effectiveness of a foreign language educational process with the inclusion of the latest technologies and innovative teaching methods.

Expected learning outcomes of EP

Upon completion of this educational program, it is expected that undergraduates will be able to:

ON1.analyze a large amount of scientific knowledge from specific facts to holistic theories that reflect the current state of fundamental sciences of a general philological profile and foreign philology, taking into account the latest achievements and technologies in the field of linguistic research.

ON 2. use the basics of planning and organizing scientific research and understanding the terminological apparatus and system of methodological principles and methodological techniques of philological teachings to identify and develop problem areas within the research context, as well as to test the research results obtained and ensure professional management of intellectual property rights in such areas of knowledge , as applied linguistics and the acquisition of a foreign / second language, corpus linguistics, contrastive linguistics, etc.

ON 3. demonstrate the ability to use the acquired knowledge in such areas as literary hermeneutics, medialinguistics and public speaking, for the preparation of analytical speech works in foreign and native languages and the technical design of foreign-language scientific and journalistic taking into account language variability.

ON 4. demonstrate the development of advanced foreign language skills in all types of speech activities within the framework of various communicative styles and speech genres of the modern English language(including interpretation of literary and media texts), using in practice discursive ways of expressing various types of information to solve pragmatic communication problems.

ON 5. apply knowledge of various types and forms of academic communication, the characteristics of a foreign language scientific style and stylistic differentiations of texts of different genres, the organizational structure and content of an authentic scientific text reflecting the linguistic variability of the English language, as well as models and strategies of verbal and non-verbal communicative behavior when preparing a reasoned and detailed statement on various problems of general and special scientific, business and professional orientation.

ON 6. summarize the knowledge gained as a result of informational-analytical and informational-bibliographic work in the field of linguistic, literary and linguodidactic studies using modern information technologies to determine ways to creatively solve philological and pragma-professional problems;

ON 7.explain current issues and aspects of scientific research in the field of contrastive-comparative description of languages and integrate knowledge about the social aspects of the functioning of language units of various levels, interpreting the text as a complex multifaceted phenomenon of linguistic and literary analysis;

ON 8. develop and promote copyright for projects, demonstrating an independent systemic and creative approaches in the course of work on scientific and project research and in solving relevant pragma-professional tasks, analyzing language as a functional system, taking into account its social stratification, communicative and cognitive functions, as well as pragmatics of linguistic influence, intercultural discourse and speech tactics.

ON 9. integrate knowledge and, accordingly, formulate your own specific goals and objectives, differentiating methods (cognitive analysis of speech activity and methods of semantic-cognitive description of linguistic phenomena, units, categories) to achieve results and solve theoretical and applied problems in scientific, academic and professional spheres using modern computer technologies, scientific research computer programs, programs for processing the array of language data, etc. and, accordingly, perform computer summarization, annotation and indexing of scientific and technical documentation by correctly interpreting the stylistic characteristics of texts of different types;

ON 10. demonstrate the ability to creatively and systematically apply knowledge of language acquisition and use strategies in an interdisciplinary team and a multinational multicultural team, affecting the processes of social, cultural, scientific, professional and interpersonal communication and cooperation, taking into account the specifics of the target audience, intercultural communication, the possibilities of verbal influence and the functioning of the language in the media, in the scientific, professional and educational fields, defending its position in discussions in the native and foreign languages.
