purpose

Qualitative training of specialists assessing the environment on the basis of worldview, moral and civic positions; using various types of information and communication technologies; possessing leadership skills; capable of implementing language policy with regard to the development and support of the Russian language in conditions of multinational, multi-confessional and multicultural communication, building programs of successful academic and social communication in Russian, Kazakh and English in different languages.

To differentiate the hierarchy of the language system using phonetic component, morphemic, derivational, morphological, syntactic analysis.

- To use modern linguistic methods and techniques in scientific research of language, speech and intercultural communication (analysis of historical and cultural information, conversion analysis, component analysis, analysis of logical relationships between sentences, study of the linguistic direction of intercultural communication, etc.).

- To differentiate the stages of the literary process in the domestic and world context.

To characterize the scientific, philosophical, religious worldviews reflected in the literature, the fundamental concepts on the basis of which these paintings are described.

- To carry out a comprehensive analysis of literary works from the standpoint of ideological and thematic content, genre features, plot-compositional features, style and poetics; demonstrate the ability to use the methodology of other humanities in the procedures for analyzing works of art.

To demonstrate the ability of scientific reasoning, conducting scientific discussion and polemics, determining one's own position in relation to the facts of spiritual culture, language and literature;

- To create on their basis scientific essays, essays, reviews, etc .;

To carry out scientific design of various types (research project, scientific article, thesis, dissertation, etc.) using information and communication technologies.

To compose speech and proofreading texts of various orientations, taking into account the stylistic features of the Russian language.

Academic activities

Academic activities of the EP are carried out:

- within the framework of existing normative documents and methodological recommendations in the sphere of higher education in the humanities,

- as a result of the implementation of normative documents regulating the educational and methodological process in the university;

- generalization and dissemination of new normative and legal acts related to methodical work;

- The current and perspective planning of the University educational-methodical work, the coordination of the educational-methodical complex of discipline (EMCD) of the department for the conformity to the normative-legal acts, the working curriculum and the educational program;

- Monitoring of the provision of the educational process with the didactic-methodic materials, documenting of the results;

- development of educational-methodical materials; development and implementation of the working curriculum;

-academic policy and integrity rules of the university.

To prepare qualified specialists in Russian language and literature, 11 doctors of sciences and 30 candidates of sciences work.

Scientific activities

For the development of students in the department there are clubs and clubs. Club "Akkaiyn" and Ethnoclub "Russian world". Since 2008, there are 5 joint double degree programs (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) in the department: "Russian philology", "Russian language and literature". Training is carried out jointly with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia).

The department has four Internet portals: "Atlantis", "Bachelor", "Ruslit.kz", "Methodist". 

International activities

Contacts have been established with the following universities for educational programs: PFUR (Russia), St. Petersburg State University (Russia), Mevlana (Turkey), KazNPU named after Abay.

According to the results of the rating of educational programs among higher educational institutions of RK since 2017 the educational programs of our department "Philology" (Master's and Doctoral studies) and "Russian language and literature" (Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral studies) take 1 place according to the rating of the Independent Agency of Accreditation and Rating (IAAR). The Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IAQA) awarded the specialty "Russian language and literature" 1st place for the Master's degree and 2nd place for the Bachelor's degree.
