EP purpose
|
Providing comprehensive and high-quality training of a highly qualified and competitive specialist-political scientist who can use factual and scientific information in accordance with methodological guidelines for analyzing the political process in relation to the implementation of educational and scientific programs; apply theoretical and applied knowledge for expert and consulting services for various state and non-state organizations; ; able to organize and conduct political science research using various methods and sources of information; possess interdisciplinary knowledge obtained during training; develop political forecasts, able to assess the political risks of certain strategies and actions, able to prepare high-quality analytical notes and other documents, as well as Express and justify their position on political development, use methods of rational management in public institutions and labor collectives, find optimal solutions to the multiplicity and variability of current problems, use modern information and communication technologies; defend the interests of the population in government, establish contacts with the political elite of other regions and foreign partners; solve the problems of a specific level of leadership and management in the chosen field of multifunctional political activity.
The program is aimed at the formation of the personality of a specialist with critical thinking; to be able to work with data from different sources, analyze and evaluate them; able to enter into controversy and present their views on the problems of modernity; work in a team.

- explain the basic concepts, ideas, theories and methods of modern political science, as well as the main directions of evolution and patterns of development of political science in the world intellectual space and in Kazakhstan;
- to carry out the analysis of actual scientific problems of political science, to investigate methodological tools in relation to a specific object of study; to present the results for discussion.
- to interpret primary political information; to work independently with primary sources and scientific literature to gain knowledge about the essential aspects of political life, to determine their theoretical and practical value.
- to explain the basic theories of power, public administration and the peculiarities of their implementation through human resources management, to analyze political and management technologies in the field of politics;
- determine the mechanisms for planning, organizing and conducting political and communication campaigns aimed at achieving specific political results: agitation and propaganda activities, political advertising, public relations development, political marketing; apply organizational forms of public relations management, leading methods of interaction with the media; use political knowledge and modern information and communication technologies in solving professional tasks, have communication and interaction skills in the workforce.
- to participate in political diagnostics and expert activity; to reflect forecasts of political processes in scientific and analytical reports, to prepare explanatory notes;
- determine the economic, social, and political conditions for implementing government programs, identify the consequences of organizational and managerial decisions, and analyze political and legal documents, legislative regulations, and empirical data bases for conducting policy research and making policy decisions.
- to develop the program and methodology of applied political research, to determine the cause-and-effect relations of political processes and phenomena, to compare the international political consequences and risks associated with the development and implementation of the political strategy of a particular actor in world politics;
- to analyze the activities of political parties, public organizations, evaluate management processes in public authorities;
- select sources of information; verify the information received and process it; solve standard tasks for the organization and implementation of professional activities, present the results of the work done in the form of reports, analytical reports, articles designed in accordance with existing requirements, using modern editing and printing tools.
- to evaluate strategic documents in the field of socio-political activity and recommendations for their solution; to independently develop socio-political projects;
- to express political problems and political facts in oral and written form in a professional language, to possess positive communication skills, to be able to self-study at the end of the training program.
