On November 26, 2021, the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of Philological Faculty of Al Farabi Kazakh National University held an international scientific and educational conference “The process of modernization and development of Kazakh translation studies and comparative studies in the period of independence”.

Qualified and competent specialists from universities of the country and countries of near and far abroad made reports at the conference. The conference was held online.

Various scientific articles in the field of translation studies, foreign philology, linguistics were discussed at the international conference. Scientists have tried to determine the ways and directions of the development of translation science. The relevance and significance of scientific articles were discussed during the discussion.

“A person who is not inspired by translation, is not satisfied with his images, does not translate from the bottom of his heart cannot create in his native language for a long time”, - said T. Alimkulov. Therefore, being a translator is not easy. The profession of a translator never loses its importance.

At the end of the conference, the participants were awarded certificates and collections of articles.
