This academic year, the Philological Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is implementing the "Professor's Hour" project, within which  well-known scholars, high-qualified specialists  in their field deliver  lectures on topical problems  and share their opinions. Today, the Department of Kazakh Linguistics  organized  the  professor’s  lecture on the topic "The problem of the national language in the paradigm of modern education." 

On April 7, 2021, The Faculty of Philology hosted the annual international scientific conference for students and young researchers: "Farabi Alemi". The section "Young Scholars" included more than 130 papers and more than 30 reports. 

On April 6 2021,the  professorial lecture took place  at the Faculty of Philology  of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The lecture was delivered  by the  Professor of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics, Doctor of Philology,  Avakova Raushan Amirdinovna. Raushan Amirdinovna devoted all her life to the study of   the topical problems of Kazakh linguistics,   general linguistics,  Turkic studies, linguistic cultural studies, ethnolinguistics, phraseology of the Kazakh and Turkic languages, as well as the theory of lexicography, teaching Kazakh as a second and foreign language. 

As you know, the holiday of Nauryz is a national holiday of the peoples of Central Asia, including the Kazakh people. This holiday is associated with the revival of nature, the arrival of spring and warmth. The holiday of Nauryz is designed to promote the national values of our people, to serve as an example to follow our traditions and customs.

    In this regard, students of the 102-group majoring in Kazakh philology of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a festive evening on the theme "KOSH KELDIN, AZ NAURYZ!". 

"Professor's Hour" which provides the delivery of the lectures by the eminent scholars is held on the regular basis at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. On March 16 2021, at 15:00 p.m the lecture on the topic: "National consciousness and language: active processes" delivered by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Salkynbay Anar Bekmyrzakyzy took place. 

The International Women's Holiday on March 8 is the opening stream of holidays with the onset of a spring sunny day. Mom – the joy of life, spring mood, mom - the sun and sky, mom - the tenderness of flowers, mom – the warmth of amazing words, mom- the joyful days of every home, a miracle, the light of love! On March 6 2021 101,102,103-groups of Kazakh philology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Philology held a colorful literary and musical, festive evening dedicated to the International Women's Day " MOTHER IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PERSON".

On March 2, 2021 the Department of Kazakh Linguistics hosted the event devoted to the memory of the distinguished scholar in the field of Kazakh Language, Maken Kassymbayevna Mamayeva. The event was called: “Unique people will always stay in our hearts and memory”.

On February 25, 2021, at 14. 00 p.m. The faculty of philology and world languages organized the professor’s lecture by the doctor of philological sciences, professor, Alkebayeva Dina Akbergenovna. The topic of the lecture was: “Functional Grammar of Kazakh Language". 

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Philology and World Languages ​​On December 25, 2020 on the ZOOM platform organized a curatorial lesson on "Spiritual revival - the development of the nation" organized by the candidate of philological sciences Ramazanova Shaigul Amirgalievna and 1st year undergraduates of Kazakh philology.

On December 15, in honor of the Independence Day, was held an open lesson on the zoom platform «Қасіретім, ар-намысым, мақтанышым-Желтоксан» by 4th year students of the specialty "Kazakh philology" and the adviser of the group Gulshat Uabidenkyzy.
