Director of the Islamic Finance Centre was on a foreign research internship at Hamad Bin Khalifa University

Director of the Islamic Finance Centre and 2nd year PhD student of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi KazNU was on a foreign research internship at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, Qatar for 45 days. The University is one of the leaders in the field of Islamic Finance and a strategic partner of KazNU. During the internship, an invaluable research experience was gained. In addition, the process of providing a dual-degree master's program is being actively promoted, negotiations were held, the content of the program was discussed at the academic council of the partner university, and a draft map of the program was drawn up.

Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business for Science and IR, PhD Zhidebekkyzy Aknur participated in the meeting of the expert group of the 5th Kazakh-Qatari joint high-level commission. The Intergovernmental Commission worked on February 13-14, 2020 in Nur-Sultan. The parties discussed the forthcoming in March 2020 the visit to Kazakhstan of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, as well as the prospects for interaction in trade, economic, investment, financial, banking and educational spheres.
