«Finance and accounting» Department of the Higher school of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University expresses its respect and wishes You success in your work, and informs you the following.

The Department is going to hold an online round table on November 19, 2020 on «Integration of Islamic finance foreign experience» title.

In Kazakhstan, the Presidential decree of January 20, 1998 established "National currency day — Tenge", celebrated on November 15, and the decree of November 20, 2011 established a new name for the holiday — "National currency Day – Tenge, a professional holiday of employees of the financial system of the Republic of Kazakhstan". Nowadays, the importance of the national currency is the connection of the currency with the life of society, the history of the national currency. The purpose of this event is to promote the development of the research potential young scientists in the country, as well as the effective exchange of views and best ideas between academic institutions and the international Islamic financial community.

Scientists from local and foreign academic circles, as well as specialists in the field of Islamic Finance are invited to participate in the online round table.

In recent years, there has been a rapid development of Islamic Finance in the world, and the demand for Islamic financial products is growing. The speakers will discuss the main stages of the development of the Islamic Finance system.  

The round table starts on November 19, 2020 at 15.30. Participation form: online, on the Google Meet platform by displaying a presentation. Speakers' working languages are: Kazakh, Russian, English.

Given the above, in order to exchange the scientific and practical views on this part, we ask faculty, master and doctoral students to participate in this event as speakers.

14^th of September, 2020, 10th Global Islamic Finance Awards 2020 Ceremony, which celebrates achievements and contributions of institutions and individuals towards development and expansion of the Islamic banking and finance industry, held on in Islamabad of Pakistan Islamic Republic. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Scientific and educational Islamic Finance Centre was awarded for Best Emerging Islamic Finance Education Provider 2020, in recognition contribution of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University excellence in Islamic finance.

The view on Islamic Finance development of the Islamic Finance Centre director, Laura Kuanova was published in Islamic Finance Review (ISFIRE) magazine, August 2020 Perspectives, official publication of Islamic Banks association (IBA).
