        Currently, KazNU al-Farabi  takes the 165 th place in the prestigious rating of the British agency QS World University Rankings and the diploma of KazNU named after al-Farabi is recognized in the world educational space!

         KazNU named after Al-Farabi is the first National Research University of Kazakhstan and for many years occupies the first position in all national ratings. 

Educational programs were developed with the aim of introducing the best practices of recognized international pharmaceutical schools into the educational process of KazNU. In developing the Curriculum, the Pharmacy University of Manchester (QS 29) programs were analyzed and taken into account.

Educational programs are based on a competency-based approach. The end results of the training are formulated in accordance with the recommendations of WHO (competence of medical workers) and the standards of the World Federation of Medical Education - WFME (World Federation of Medical Education) - Global Standards for Quality Improvement in Medical Education.

Training will take place in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English, respectively, enrollment is in three languages of instruction) using information resources in English and involving professors from partner universities of KazNU.

The university has the opportunity to direct and partially cover the costs of internships for the best undergraduates who are fluent in English for at least 30 days (universities in Europe, Canada, the USA, South Korea and Turkey).

Applicants for admission to the magistracy pass 2 entrance examinations - in a foreign language and in a specialty.

The entrance exam in a foreign language (English, French, German) is taken in the form of testing using the technologies of the National Center for State Standards of Education and Testing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have international certificates confirming their knowledge of a foreign language in accordance with the common European competences (standards) of foreign language proficiency: English language: Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Program (TOEFL ITP – not less than 460 points), Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Program Internet-based Test (TOEFL IBT, threshold score - at least 87), TOEFL, threshold point - not less than 560 points, International English Language Tests System (IELTS, threshold score - at least 6.0); are exempted from the entrance exam in a foreign language.

Exam in the specialty: the terms and form are determined by the authorized body (HCM of the Republic of Kazakhstan).

State educational grants are awarded based on the results of the two-stage examination. The owner of the state grant chooses the educational organization for training.

If the applicant does not receive a state grant for training, they can study on a contractual basis or apply for non-state grants.
