On November 20, 2020, at 14.00, the Scientific and educational Department "Tourism and service" Of the School of Economics and Management of Narkhoz University together with the Department of recreational geography and tourism of al - Farabi Kazakh National University held an inter-University forum. Topic of the Forum: «New silk road. Transport logistics and regional economy". The event was organized in the format of an Online platform dedicated to discussing the revival of the Great Silk Road and the promotion of Kazakhstan as a shopping center and a recognizable tourist destination in Central Asia. 


Within the framework of the Interuniversity forum " New silk road. Transport logistics and regional economy " there was one section on tourism development, diversification and new sectors of the economy, which served as a convenient information platform for reports, presentations of projects and innovative solutions.

The forum was attended by over 50 people: teachers, undergraduates of the NOD "Tourism and service", and teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates of the Department of recreational geography and tourism of al-Farabi Kazakh national University, as well as Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan tourist Association K. Mamutova.Following the results of the interuniversity forum, it was decided to hold such meetings on a regular basis with the involvement of representatives of other domestic and foreign universities.All participants noted the relevance and novelty of the information platform and supported the idea of constantly updating forum topics based on debates.
