On November 20, 2020, at 13.00, a webinar was held on the topic: New ways of teaching and research in Tourism Management brought by COVID-19 challenges. The webinar was organized by the UASR (University Alliance of the Silk Road) Tourism sub-Alliance of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). There were 4 universities as a speakers: al-Farabi Kazakh national University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU, Hong Kong), Mae Fah Luang University (Thailand), XI'an Jiaotong University (XI'an Province, China).
Tourism and hospitality are two industries that have been hit hard by the pandemic. Everyone had to adapt to the new situation in the world. Universities shared their experience, innovations in teaching, new research methods, new approaches and tools in teaching.
