260 Kazakhstan students, including students of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, received a unique chance to study tourism and hotel business in Turkey for free this summer. The students will be trained at Antalya Bilim University for 4 months, as well as practice in the five-star hotel chain Rixos. This opportunity was created thanks to the international program of experimental training in tourism TELP (Tourism Experimental Learning Program). It was joined by 7 universities from Nur-Sultan, Aktau, Shymkent and Turkestan, which signed protocols on cooperation with Turkish partners.

Students will be enrolled in Antalya Bilim University at the Faculty of Tourism. After obtaining theoretical knowledge, they will be immersed in all the subtleties of the hotel business and restaurant business. They will be given the opportunity to plunge into office work, cleaning hotels, preparing menus, drinks, food for tourists, etc. So that at the end they have a complete idea of how the tourism industry in Turkey works, due to which it managed to become a world leader.

Kazakh students will be fully covered for all expenses related to accommodation, travel, meals, and uniforms. And as a bonus, they will receive about $ 100 every month. Already in July, when it is predicted that there will be an influx of tourists, the first batch of children will be able to start practicing in five-star hotels in Antalya, Bodrum and Gejek.

On May 20, 2021, a round table meeting was held dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Honorary Worker of Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Stanislav Yerdavletov, founder and first head of the Department of Tourism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The organizer is the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Youth practice is organized for graduates of educational organizations in order to gain initial work experience in the acquired profession (specialty). Graduates undergo youth practice in organizations of various forms of ownership, including the offices of the akim of district akimats, Departments and Departments included in the structure of the Akimat of Almaty, State Revenue Departments, as well as private firms. On April 27, 2021, a group of graduates of the specialty "Tourism" of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University passed an independent industry certification by the KTA Certification Center. After passing the assessment on the basic knowledge and skills of the qualification "Tourism Manager", the graduates received an additional document to the bachelor's degree-a certificate of qualification. 18 graduates are certified in Russian, and the remaining 16 graduates received certificates in Kazakh out of 34 graduates.

We congratulate all the participants and wish them further success in their profession!

A guest lecture on the topic "Methods and tools for promoting tours"was organized jointly by the Kazakhstan Tourism Association for the 3rd year students of the Tourism specialty by the teacher Nurmukhanbetova D. E..

The guest lecturer was Ekaterina Maratovna Izmailova, a specialist in outbound tourism, who has extensive experience in tour operator activities. She has experience working from sales manager to head of sales at tour operators such as Mouzenidis Travel and Sanat Tour.

During the lecture, she spoke about various methods and tools that allow you to successfully bring your travel products to the markets. Using the example, she showed how tourism business professionals encourage consumers to purchase promoted travel products and agents to work together for a long time. What events are organized to attract and retain new customers.At the end of the speech, E. M. Izmailova answered the students ' questions.

There was a lively dialogue-rather acute questions and wishes of students were voiced.

In conclusion, it can be noted that the event turned out to be interesting annd constructive.

Social tourism has become the first step in introducing a special contingent of people to travel. Social tourism in Kazakhstan has received its development relatively recently, although this type of tourism has existed in the world for about half a century.

The webinar will cover the best practices of the Social tourism worldwide, the view from Kazakhstan, Russia, Hungary and Hong Kong, professors from these countries will share with us about the overview, principles, and current state of Social Tourism.

This webinar will also share the most recent project experience of the Social tourism notion development in Kazakhstan.
