On June 9, 2020, the University of Tsukuba participated in an online education fair (for students in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The event was organized by the Begin Group, a German-based company that supports student recruitment activities. Faculty and staff of the university participated in the faire as part of the "Study in Japan Global Network Project" and they explained how to study abroad at Japanese universities and graduate schools. About 50 organizations from all over the world participated on the day.
