The International Study Fair 2019 sponsored by the Bolashaq Development Fund was held in Nur-Sultan, Shymkent, and Almaty from October 5th to October 12th. The representative of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Ninomiya Takashi - an invited professor at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, participated the study fair. A huge amount of high school students, university students, and graduate students participated in this exhibition. The number of participants was 10,000 people at Nur-Sultan, 16,000 at Shymkent, and 17,000 at Almaty. Many different universities participated in the exhibition, not only Japan, South Korea, China, Russia, but also about 300 universities from Europe have also taken part. The Almaty office of the University of Tsukuba explained general living conditions in Japan, introduction to faculties, and scholarships. It was also explained how to enter a Japanese language course at the Kazakh National University and then study abroad at a Japanese university, how to enter a Japanese graduate school while studying at the Kazakh National University. Participating students have a wide range of study fields, including computer science, engineering, international relations, business, medicine, and art design. The questions were mainly asked in English.
