GENERAL INFORMATION
The department provides instruction of fundamental medical disciplines – molecular and cell biology, medical genetics, medical biophysics, histology, normal and pathological anatomy, normal and pathological physiology, etc. – to HSM students of all specializations.
The teaching staff of the department is represented by 53 teachers, including: 2 doctors of medical sciences, 1 doctor of biological sciences, 11 teachers with PhD or candidate of medical sciences degree, 39 masters.

Head of the department, candidate of sciences Lazzat Sarsenova Lazzat Sarsenova is an expert in methodology of medical education. She received her training in Israel, England, Denmark, Singapore and Finland. She is a participant of expert and project groups of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan on modernization of medical education, development of state standards of education, model programs of education – within the framework of the State Healthcare Development Program; participant of state commissions of the Ministry of Healthcare and the Ministry of Education and Science for attestation and post-licensing oversight of medical organizations of education; Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating expert on accreditation of organizations of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; coordinator of the work group on development of medical ethics and communication skills among medical workers – within the framework of the Project “Modernization of medical education” of the Ministry of Healthcare. Interests: radiobiology, methodology of medical education, communication skills in medicine. |

Scientific directions: Reproductive morphology, ovarian reserve, ovarian immunohistochemistry, medical education. |
