On April 6, 2022, a meeting was held between the staff of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and Duken Masimkhan, the Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after R.B. Suleimenov. The meeting was attended by the faculty teaching stuff, directors of research centers, doctoral students, undergraduates and senior students.

The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss one of the historical events that took place in February this year - the signing of a memorandum on the integration of science and education between the al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Institute of Oriental Studies named after R.B. Suleimenov.
In this regard, a number of issues and specific proposals for their solution were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Y.M. Paltore thanked Duken Masimkhanuly for his informative speech at the meeting. Duken Masimkhanuly donated books published by the institute in recent years, as well as author's books, to the library of the faculty. He also visited the Department of Chinese Studies, where he previously worked, visited classrooms and talked with teachers.
