Scientific internship at California State University, Nortridge
Askerbekova Zhanar Askerbekkyzy, 3rd year doctoral student in the specialty Mathematical and Computer Modeling, completed a scientific internship at California State University in Northridge, California, USA. The internship was held at the Faculty of Mathematics of this university from October 10, 2019 to January 10, 2020 under the supervision of Professor Alekseenko A .M.
Әskerbekova Zh: “During the period of the scientific internship, I participated in scientific seminars of the faculty and participated in the student activities of the university. She reviewed the literature on methods for solving inverse problems of elliptic types of equations and prepared materials for the article. During the internship, she improved her knowledge of inverse problems and methods for solving inverse problems, and also gained experience working on high-performance computing systems. In the future I will use these skills to develop and implement numerical methods for solving inverse problems of an elliptic type of equation.”
