A second year master's student of the specialty "6M061300-Geobotany", Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources Saptaykhanova Gaini won a grant under the Abay-Verne program and completed the 2019-2020 academic year at the University of Lorraine (France, Nancy). On December 29, 2020, she successfully defended her master's thesis in English on the topic : "Branches as a potential source of forest extractives". Master's work was carried out in the laboratory LERMAB (Laboratoire d'études et de recherche sur le matériau bois) and in the Scientific Institute INRAE (Institut National de Recherche en Agriculture, Alimentation et Environnement) within the framework of the project « ExtraFor_Est ». Within the framework of the intergovernmental agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Poland, the National Agency for Educational Exchanges (Warsaw, Poland) decided to finance the research work of a third-year PhD student of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources Orazov Aidyn for his doctoral dissertation (Poland).

Research topic: "STUDY OF INVASIVE FLORA OF KAZAKHSTAN ALTAI"

Purpose: Study the invasive flora of Kazakhstan Altai (East Kazakhstan), preparation of doctoral dissertations (Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland).

Funding source: National Agency for Study Exchanges (Warsaw, Poland).

Funding period: 2020-2024 (4 years), PhD studies at Adam Mickiewicz University.

         On December 3, 2020, at the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, curator-adviser: A.N.Zorbekova and 1st year students "6В05102 Biology" conducted an open educational online lesson on the topic: "INTERNET-USE and HARM". The lesson raises important topics regarding the impact of the Internet on human health, and the child in particular. The students were divided into two groups and 1 group proved that the Internet and computer technologies are beneficial, and 2 group proved that the Internet and information technologies are not only useful, but also harmful.The students consolidated the concepts of “what were the rules of communication in the network, what operations we can perform with the help of computers”, etc. Students discuss and express their opinions on the issue: use profanity, incite ethnic hatred, offend people, etc., who do not operate in any civilized society. At the end of the educational lesson, conclusions were drawn on how we should use the Internet and at the same time not forget about netiquette.

On November 28, 2020 at 12: 00 in the Department of" biodiversity and bioresources", students of the 3rd year of Scientific biology held an open lesson on the topic "December 1 day of the first President". During the open lesson, students learned valuable information about the life and work of our President. Students exchanged views, and at the end of our open lesson, students were asked several questions, which the students answered.

On November 27, 2020 year at 10:00 for the teachers of the Departmant of “Biodiversity and Bioresourses”3^rd year students conducted an open lesson on the topic ”The First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev”. In the lesson students shared with their views on the investments of our Elbasy for the comprehensive development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also about relationships with other countries, at the end the result was summed up in the form of an intellectual game. The purpose of this lesson was to remember all the great achievemets of Elbasy and celebrate 1st December.

On November 27, 2020 year at 14:00 for the teachers of the Department of "Biodiversity and Bioresources" 2nd year students conducted an open lesson on the topic "AIDS - the disease of the 21st century". During the lesson, important topics were raised regarding AIDS and human health. Students shared their thoughts on various human diseases, hygiene, etc. Videos in three languages were used, and the lesson ended with a general reinforcement test for the students themselves.
